Summary of Job Scope and Expectations:
The Director, Business Intelligence is responsible for the strategy, design, and development of the BI systems, programs, and services to meet the company's information needs.
This position interfaces with various parts of the business to ensure the BI systems are fully leveraged to meet the business goals.
This position will lead and mentor the Business Intelligence staff.
The Director, Business Intelligence implements IS policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.
Description:
Strategizes and directs the design, development, improvement, and governance of business intelligence systems, programs, and services to meet management's and company's current and futureinformation needs.
Collaborates cross departmentally (including Operations) to ensure the BI platform and its services provide accurate, timely and actionable information to its various data consumers.
Drives toward education on and adoption of business intelligence in the enterprise.
Leads a team of BI associates and oversees prioritization, project and task assignments to meet committed deliverables and on-demand requirements.
Coaches and mentors associates to elevate their performance and ensures retention of qualified staff.
Ensures the reliability, security and availability of systems for reporting, analysis, and data extracts.
Assesses and implements technology, data sources, processes, and people strategy to enable new insights and meet future business strategiesWorks with peers, business partners, offshore development, and vendors to build and maintain effective relationships and partnershipsSkills:
Bachelor's degree in IS or related field requiredMinimum ten years of business intelligence experience, with increasing management responsibility (3 years minimum), preferably in a retail/hospitality environmentExtensive knowledge of Business Intelligence methodologies including data warehousing technology stacks and report/analytics tool sets (SQL, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Netezza, etc.
)Extensive knowledge of BI systems architectureStrong knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing and analytic solutionsStrong communication skills to analyze and translate business needs to effectively communicate a strategy and visionStrong people management and team building skillsStrong relationship and team building skills applied internally and externallyStrong project and financial management skillsStrong computer/technology skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and IS function softwareStrong communication (oral and written), presentation, and facilitation skillsAbility to implement a multi-terabyte data warehouse with structured and unstructured dataAbility to lead, coach, and develop other associatesAbility to manage complex projectsAbility to foster and encourage diverse viewpointsAbility to think strategicallyAbility to understand and analyze business processesAbility to embrace change and continuous learningAbout the Company:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
