The network monitoring and management role is to plan, administer and to efficiently maintain the networking tools portfolio.
The work will be in support of operations and engineering staff, in addition to other stakeholders up to and including Senior IT and business leadership.
This portfolio spans the entire Enterprise for network services.
The technologies deployed is dramatically changing from a traditional disparate telecom and data-networking environment, to one of converged capabilities and IT/OT transformation.
Typical
Responsibilities:
Establishes network baselines by evaluating network performance including availability, utilization, and latency.
Administer and Configure tools to maximize features so we are more proactive and predictive rather than reactive to events.
Maintain and supports network performance by performing monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning, troubleshooting network or tool problems and escalating problems to internal support staff or vendorHelp to develop peers, both internal and external to the team by designing and conducting KT sessions providing references on self-use of various tools.
Oversees the performance of the tools by conferring with vendors; developing, testing and evaluating and installing enhancements to maintain tools at current release levelsCreate and maintain documentation as it relates to tools configuration, mapping, and asset lifecycle.
Participate and plan tool strategies toward integration of tools, adaption and cost efficiencies when possible.
Day to day responsibilities include identifying new or optimization requirements with various teams; administrating access; ensuring data integrity and updating changes to the monitored infrastructure(s); resolving issues with tools functionality; installing upgrades and/or version changes; develop reporting, dashboards, or other standard views; develop processes, job-aids, or other documentation in support of the portfolio; direct engagement with the vendor(s); and optimizing or simplifying features for monitoring network performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three to Five years of experience in Network Operations management including hands on work experience monitoring, maintaining, configuring, and upgrading Networking devices (routers and switches), wireless, or telecommunications infrastructure.
Experience with administration and management of tools for the data center infrastructure including Compute, Network, Storage.
Two years experience with various network monitoring and management tools for the Administration, Configuration, Optimization of such tools.
Experience with providing and analyzing performance, packet inspection reports or dashboards.
Tools portfolio knowledge should include but not limited to:
NetScout, Infoblox/NetMri, Broadcom Technologies (Spectrum, Performance Center, Netflow, UIM), CISCO DNA Center, Palo Alto Firewalls, MegaSys Telenium, Splunk.
Working closely with vendors to expedite and resolve operational issue in a network environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related discipline.
Eight years of Network Operations experience.
Three years of experience with administration and management of tools for the data center infrastructure including platform and storage.
CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification preferred.
Development of Automation Routines and Operationalizing of suchExposure to scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, PearlThanks and Regards,Kiran Kumar Bejjanki.
