Position Overview:
Builds and maintains strong relationships with organizational unit clients acting as partners to integrate and leverage technology and business integration solutions across organizational units. Engages and consults with clients to analyze business needs to develop Business Strategies and Business Capabilities. Ensures short and long term IT strategies meet SCE's and IT's direction and strategy. Works with the business and IT leaders to ensure that the service and technology portfolios are aligned to the business strategy and roadmap. Leads the strategic planning process for both the Business and IT organizations. Ensures a uniform approach is used for resolving and handling customer feedback. Aligns business needs and capabilities to ensure enterprise architecture direction and standards are set, communicated and maintained. Facilitates the planning and integration of core project and program management elements. Responsible for building a holistic view of the current and future state business capability roadmaps. Facilitates the escalation and resolution of issues.
Oversees and focuses on developing, maintaining, and performing: business capabilities alignment, business process (to-be) support, solution management, demand management process and business and technology requirements management to meet short-term and long-term enterprise/organizational unit technology requirements. Maintains the strategic view of business and technology outcomes and how individual projects deliver those outcomes.
Typical Responsibilities:
Business/Client relationship management to work with business partners to understand process and technology needs. Serves as the key point of contact for IT strategy, planning, and communications on IT service offerings to act as a liaison between information service/solution teams and business partners. Develops and enhances relationships with key business stakeholders, actively managing their expectations and monitoring satisfaction levels. Works with business partners to institute measures of relationship quality, service performance, business alignment, and report on a regular basis. Ensures that decisions are being made in alignment with SCE's and IT's strategic direction and strategy and with business needs and technical capabilities. Ensures that the demand is in line with agreed IT investment & operating plan.
Business and IT Strategic Alignment and Planning to ensure alignment of Business Strategies and Business Capabilities with IT Strategies and ensure short and long term IT strategies meet SCE's and IT's direction and strategy. Works with the business and IT leaders to ensure that the service and technology portfolios are aligned to the business strategy and roadmap. Educates and participates in the strategic planning process for both the Business and IT organizations. Develops, shares, and leverages best practices across IT. Facilitates prioritization discussions with business partners to ensure IT resources are focused on highest value work and adjusts with changing business drivers.
Identifies business capabilities needed to achieve strategic goals. Uses a combination of resources that deliver optimum capability results. Identifies and addresses business capability gaps and eliminates them in each area of business resources (process, information, people, infrastructure, technology). Provides scopes, assesses, plans and communicates strategic initiatives and roadmaps for strategy implementation.
Creates and maintaining a cohesive and coordinated solutions roadmap that ties to the business strategy. Manages programs and project status, resources allocations, and financials and reporting on such information to team and senior leaders.
Identifies and analyzes business and technical requirements, including a high level technology impact analysis to ensure they are in line with enterprise strategic requirements. Perform studies to identify alternative solutions. Identify and mitigate business functional and technical risks associated with enterprise requirements and proposed solutions. Ensures that planned application changes are tested before they are transferred to production. Obtain approval of requirements and recommended solutions.
Provides strategic direction and leads the business in assessing, adopting and deploying new and emerging technologies, which may include leading or facilitating forums and/or committees to ensure interaction between business and IT with the objective of developing and communicating strategic roadmaps and business plans. Consults with business partners and external regulators, and industry leaders regarding new technology solutions and project formulation. May resolve complex inter-program integration issues or risk mitigation challenges.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
