Environmental Compliance System Specialist

Position Overview
The position supports the administration and management of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Management System (EHSync) across the company. EHSync is a regulatory compliance tracking, monitoring and reporting system. The position provides consistent technical focus to support compliance implementation and system maintenance to reflect process changes and requirements, system assessments, creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and technical support and communication to end users. This position impacts multiple compliance areas and all organizational units. It includes a full range of activities to help achieve company-wide EHS compliance
Typical Responsibilities:
Work with EHS Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance requirements are properly documented and implemented to meet compliance and performance deadlines and milestones.
Perform compliance system assessments by providing technical analysis and recommendations for deficiency resolution.
Develop, implement and maintain job aids, process and program material and other tools to facilitate effective utilization of the CMS throughout the company.
Work with EHS and IT Subject Matter Experts to ensure resolution of system defects, facilitate necessary user acceptance, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Support the implementation and monitoring of the Regulatory and Governmental reporting processes for EHS requirements.
Participate in the implementation and monitoring of compliance areas in the compliance management software tool
Work with Corporate EHS Subject Matter Experts to determine EHS compliance requirements and potential impacts at SCE facilities.
Maintains a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices; and perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Five years evaluating, assessing, reporting and providing recommendations in the area of EHS compliance.
Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring processes that support company-wide EHS compliance
Experience with the administration, maintenance, and/or implementation of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance tracking, monitoring, and reporting related regulatory systems.
Working experience using MS Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in science or technical field
8 years evaluating, assessing, reporting and providing recommendations in the area of EHS compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

The primary work location for this position is (work location); however, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at (alternate work location).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
