About Corporate Security:
The primary responsibility of Corporate Security is to protect worker safety, prevent crime on SCE property, and mitigate risks of physical attacks to critical infrastructure. Physical security operations within Corporate Security covers contract security officer services, the Edison Security Operations Center (ESOC), investigation of security incidents and threats, intelligence-gathering, the SCE Badging Office, NERC Physical Security compliance, and background investigations and PRAs.
Position Overview
Senior Advisor, Security will work with the Principal Manager of Physical Security and internal/external resources and SME's to continuously improve operations and processes, lead risk-based operational and resource planning, and manage regulatory programs.
Coordinate, track and report data requests/testimony
Prepare risk management analysis (e.g., RAMP) and General Rate Case
Develop and maintain physical security policies, procedures, and standards
Lead teams to develop high-level concepts of operations (CONOPS) and security doctrine
Utilize metrics, business analysis, and process analysis for continuous improvement
Provide SME input
Typical Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and overseeing continual improvement program and metrics
Establish goals, milestones and initiatives related to implementing identified opportunities for continual improvement
Oversee risk management analysis, regulatory testimony and related resource plans.
Identify financial or operational impact of risk analysis, upcoming regulatory changes, etc.
Work with other SMEs to review, update and develop business unit policies, programs, procedures, doctrine, and concepts of operations
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
Ten years of security and/or law enforcement experience
Three years of business analysis and/or continuous improvement experience
Experience presenting and creating reports and related materials
Experience leading matrixed teams and collaborating with teams across a variety of departments and disciplines
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related analytical field
Five years business/financial/risk analysis experience
Three years of leading teams to meet deadlines and deliverables
Experience writing regulatory reports and data request responses, especially GRC
Demonstrated influence and negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills, knowledge and abilities

Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA with visits to local SCE offices as needed.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
