The job ?
The Automation Developer will lead new RPA product development, utilizing tools such as Pega, as part of SCE's Digital Center of Excellence with the goal of disruptive innovation through design thinking and agile based methodologies, coupled with advanced technology platforms.
Detailed stuff you will be doing ?
In this role, you will be responsible for:
The definition, design and development of RPA solutions in accordance with standard design principles as well as Southern California Edison standards and best practices
Design, develop, and configure Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software systems to meet end-to-end business requirements, including POCs, pilots and production automations
Support workshops and interviews with business process SMEs to gather and confirm business process details & documenting process definitions
Work in collaboration with other business and technical specialists to define and deliver automation solutions
Support development of RPA strategies, including assessing opportunities
Develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion
Conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture
Developing and configuring programs, scripts and objects that are efficient, well structured, maintainable & easy to understand
Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process
Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of RA processes & providing timely responses & solutions as required
Qualifications you need ?
Strong experience implementing RPA/RDA applications/tools (such as Pega (OpenSpan), UiPath, Blue Prism, and/or Automation Anywhere) and integration services.
Experience in optimizing and converting existing business processes into automation.

Other stuff you should also have ?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
Implementation of Pega applications using best practices.
Possess a Pega Certification (CSA, CSSA, CLSA, CRSA, etc.) and have experience applying these architecture concepts as well as experience on the Pega 7x platform.
Experience with RPA/RDA applications using Pega connectors and integration services and have experience in optimizing and converting existing business processes into automation.
Two (2) years of experience ensuring reliability/redundancy of Pega applications using exception handling.
Two (2) years of experience web-based integration protocols (e.g. REST, JSON, SOAP, WS , etc.) and have worked with Agile/SCRUM product development methodologies.
Knowledge of BPM concepts.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
