Position Overview
The Senior Manager - Solution Delivery is accountable to deliver information technology (IT) solutions that meet the needs of the business. This position will direct program and project management work within IT to ensure the successful delivery of business solutions and outcomes. This role collaborates with technical areas in architecture and legacy, as well as senior operating unit leadership and managers to understand the business needs and translate them into technology capabilities that can be fulfilled by internal or managed services providers. Serves as primary contact to other workstreams within the program. Provides direction to project team and is the escalation point for issue resolution and risk management. Reports to delivery leadership on current status and informs other stakeholders on any issues that may affect their areas. The role is also responsible for ensuring effective and quality project delivery.
Overall responsibility to develop, maintain, and perform: program and project management, work management, service agreement management, client relationship management, business and IT strategic alignment and planning, stakeholder transparency and advocacy, demand management, risk and value optimization, org readiness, and communications to develop and enhance new and existing business processes and enterprise solutions that meet short-term and long-term organizational unit technology requirements. Manages the daily operations of his/her area, ensuring the team has the necessary support to perform their tasks.
Typical Responsibilities:
+ Developing business plans, objectives, and initiatives for the organization in alignment with business strategy and customer requirements.
+ Assists in the development of initiatives for corporate strategic plans and objectives.
+ Performs as Program Manager of Technology Development and Implementation efforts with oversight to Delivery and Project Managers running efforts in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
+ Performs budgeting and staffing activities and provides close direction or oversight of work performed and desired results.
+ Provides recommendations and information regarding work activities and their contribution to short and long range objectives. Assists PMO in the development and implementation of suitable performance indicators for the organization.
+ Shares periodic reports on the same with his/her manager as well as his/her team.
+ Takes corrective actions when there are deviations from the plan.
+ Recommends and/or approves departmental policies and procedures and assists in the development of corporate policies and procedures.
+ Interacts with corporate officers and other managers within the same department/other departments.
+ Stays in frequent contact with all levels in his/her organization.
+ Manages and coordinates business activities according to established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor? Degree.
+ 5 years? experience managing or supervising an organization and people management experience including performance management.
+ 5 years? experience managing medium to large technology portfolios.
+ 5 years? experience managing project financials/budgets.
Desired Qualifications
+ 7 years? experience managing or supervising an organization and people management experience including performance management
+ Program manager experience managing multiple project work streams with high degree of complexity and change.
+ Experience in development and delivery of Technology projects using multiple methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, DevOps).
+ Effective delivery of communicating technical presentations to business audiences.
+ Background including driving negotiations and consulting across a diverse business environment.
+ Experience with vendors and managing to contracts and statements of work.
+ Professional training and certifications consistent with Project Management including Six Sigma, ITIL, PMP and\or Scrum certification.
+ Experience in technical or business consulting.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
