Within the ESD, the Major Environmental Projects Division (MEP) provides management of the planning, siting, licensing, permitting, construction, and consultant services for SCE electrical and other infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.  The Project Environmental Licensing section within MEP manages the environmental scope during the siting, licensing and pre-construction phases of all SCE major transmission, substation and other major facility project development.   Position Overview The successful candidate will work as an Environmental Project Manager/ Advisor (EPM) for Major Environmental Projects' Licensing Section, and manage select major infrastructure projects (>>$30M) that require strong relationships between SCE and 3rd party stakeholders, the execution of major project licensing and execution processes, and collaboration with the CPUC and multiple state and federal agencies.  The EPM will advise senior management within SCE on how projects meet state and federal environmental and other regulatory requirements.  The EPM will be the single point of contact within the Company for all environmental licensing scope on their assigned projects.   The EPM will provide interdisciplinary expertise in environmental regulatory frameworks including CEQA/NEPA and associated resource areas (e.g. Aesthetics, Agriculture, Air Quality, Biological Resources, Cultural Resources, Geology, Hazardous Materials, Hydrology, Land Use, Noise, Population, Recreation, Transportation, water quality, and other resources).   Typical Responsibilities: Provide environmental consultant services to T&D, Generation, Advanced Technologies, Regulatory Affairs, SCE Legal, Government Lands, and other organizations for environmental planning, permitting, licensing, and construction strategy and compliance, primarily for major electric infrastructure projects. Act as SCE environmental liaison with all stakeholders on assigned projects.  Provide consultation with SCE mid-level and occasionally senior leadership with respect to environmental compliance that guides SCE's long term goals, including company goals for major transmission, substation and other grid facilities. Provide strategic recommendations and highlight risk regarding intent of environmental laws and regulations to support SCE project development and execution. Contribute to environmental review/ comment efforts on proposed legislation related to renewable bulk transmission line projects, and grid of the future. Assist team members to continuously update strategies/processes/procedures to ensure consistency/standardization of approach across ESD, while identifying innovative solutions on a project-specific basis, in accordance with agency regulation to improve corporate environmental compliance effectiveness. Manage environmental licensing scope of select infrastructure projects. Prepare dashboards and status reports for assigned projects, and work closely with the section manager. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental studies. Seven or more years of experience in environmental compliance, studies, or project management. Desired Qualifications Master's degree in environmental planning, other environmental studies or related fields Excellent public speaking and communications skills and experience Knowledge and experience with local, state and federal regulations related to project development. Comments Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship. The primary work location for this position is GO1; however, the successful candidate may also be asked to work at the PIV offices. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
